PLEASURE ON
THE CHAIR
FILIPPO
ANDRIGHETTO
The Mosaico Collection emerges from the collaboration between Marlot Baus and Italian architect and designer Filippo Andrighetto, based in Copenhagen.
Conceived to engage in dialogue with the organic lines of Marlot Baus tables, it balances functional simplicity with a sculptural presence.
At its core lies the Silla Sencilla — a refined reinterpretation of the classic wooden chair: solid, stackable, and versatile. Alongside it, the Mosaico pieces explore geometry, rhythm, and structure as an aesthetic language, celebrating architectural strength and timeless elegance.
Each piece is crafted from solid oak and noble materials, merging artisanal precision with a contemporary vision. The result is an honest, serene collection designed to evolve with time and bring a sense of natural harmony to any space.
The collection designed for Marlot Baus was conceived to offer a timeless design that complements the organic forms of Marlot Baus tables. The aim was to create, on one hand, a simple and versatile chair — the Silla Sencilla — and, on the other, a more iconic and sculptural series of seats: the Mosaico collection. Both lines reflect Filippo Andrighetto’s signature approach — clean geometry, detail-oriented aesthetics, and the use of honest materials.
The Silla Sencilla reinterprets the classic wooden chair found in traditional still lifes, offering an elegant and functional version that is solid, stackable, and adaptable to a variety of settings.
The Mosaico series, on the other hand, takes a more sculptural direction, drawing inspiration from the tiled Mediterranean architecture of southern Spain and Catalonia. In particular, it references the work of Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill, especially iconic buildings such as Walden 7 and La Muralla Roja, where tiled patterns and vibrant geometry reinforce a modular architectural aesthetic.
This influence is reflected in the bold forms and rhythmic composition of the Mosaico pieces, which celebrate structure, playful monumentality, and elegance.
About the Designer
FILIPPO
ANDRIGHETTO
Filippo Andrighetto is an Italian architect and designer based in Copenhagen, Denmark, working across architecture, interiors, and furniture design.
In the field of furniture, he produces and distributes his own collection internationally while also collaborating with design companies on bespoke pieces.
He defines his approach as soft futurism — a fusion of tradition and innovation. By combining raw materials such as metal and stone with warm, natural elements like wood and fabric, his work balances minimalist form and industrial strength with organic softness.
Rooted in Italian craftsmanship and guided by the principles of slow design, each piece reflects a deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and timeless elegance. Designed to evolve over time, his furniture embraces natural change, becoming more beautiful and personal with age.
