How to Measure Your Dining Table
The right size isn't guessed: it's calculated with three numbers — the space you leave around the table, the people who sit around it, and the light the piece receives.
1. The space around the table
Leave at least 90 cm between the table and the wall or any other piece of furniture: that's what a chair needs when it's pulled back, and what it takes for someone to pass behind it. If the area is a frequent walkway, add a few centimetres.
2. How many people sit
Each guest needs about 60 cm of width along the long side. Someone can sit comfortably at the ends if the width is 90 cm or more.

3. The finish follows the light
Lighter tones open up the space; darker ones give the piece weight and character. If you're torn between two finishes, don't decide from a photo: order the samples and place them where the table will go. Microcement changes with the light — it's not the same at midday as at dusk. Wood, either.
4. Caring for the microcement
It's easy to care for: a damp cloth and neutral soap. Over the years it gains depth; it's a material that ages well. Nine hand-applied layers and a double final seal do the rest. The full protocol is in the care & maintenance guide, also available as a PDF to keep.
