Dining Table Size Guide

The right size is never guessed: it comes from three numbers — the room you leave around it, the people who sit down, and the light the piece receives.

1. The space around the table

Leave at least 90 cm between the table and the wall or any furniture: a chair needs that room to pull back and let someone walk behind. In busy walkways, add a few centimetres more.

2. How many people it seats

Each person at the table needs about 60 cm of frontage on the long side. Head seats are comfortable when the width is 90 cm or more.

3. The finish follows the light

Pale tones open a room; dark ones give the piece weight and character. If you hesitate between two finishes, do not decide from a photo: order the samples and place them where the table will go. Microcement changes with the light — it is not the same at noon as at dusk. Neither is wood.

4. Caring for microcement

Care is easy: a damp cloth and neutral soap. Over the years it gains nuance; it is a material that ages well. Nine hand-applied layers and a double final sealer do the rest. The full protocol lives in the care and maintenance guide — also available as a PDF you can keep.
